PETZL Shunt

The Petzl Shunt is rappel back-up rope grab for sports climbing, which can be used to replace self- jamming knots like a Prusik as a back-up. Working on single and double ropes (these must of the same diameter), it is easy to install on the rope and uses a smooth cam which limits any risk of damaging the rope. Used below the rappel device, the Petzl Shunt can be used on both EN892 (Dynamic) and EN1891 type A (Low Stretch) ropes.
